Specialty Nitrox
What is it about?
This specialty is based on practicing diving with a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen gas, different to the atmospheric composition.
Advantages: it allows us to stay longer under water, the surface intervals are shorter, allowing more dives per day, if desired, and the body absorbs less nitrogen.
Disadvantages: In this specialty you learn to not suffer an oxygen poisoning, there are deep limitations to use Nitrox and it is usually more expensive because of the specific equipment that is needed for this practice.
To perform this specialty, you must present a medical certificate and have completed the Open Water Diver course.
You will get an official PADI degree.
